Chris Sheckler MS, CSCS, FMS, USAW

Chris Sheckler started as a strength and conditioning coach at SMFR in March 2017.
Prior to SMFR, Sheckler spent six years as the Assistant Director of Sports Performance at the University of Colorado, where he oversaw the all training aspects for the Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, and Lacrosse programs. Before his stint at CU-Boulder, Sheckler was a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Montana State University, where he oversaw the performance training for all of the school’s 13 varsity athletic programs.
Sheckler obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sport & Exercise Science from Dakota Wesleyan University, where he was a dual-sport athlete, playing football and competing in track and field. After completing his Bachelor’s, he completed a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at South Dakota State University.
He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), and also holds certifications from USA Weightlifting and Functional Movement Systems (FMS-Level 1).
Sheckler is originally from Rock Springs, Wyoming. He is married with three daughters. His older brother is a career firefighter paramedic in California.
