South Metro Fire Rescue is committed to the highest level of service - to our citizens and our communities. SMFR covers 287.5 square miles in Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties, with 30 stations in the south metro area. South Metro serves nearly 580,000 residents and thousands more who come into our communities to work and visit, providing an excellent opportunity for those that would like to join South Metro.

There are plenty of opportunities to have a long career here at South Metro as we are a full-service fire district, which means that we also offer construction plan reviews and permits, fire safety inspections, fleet services, training, information technology, human resources, life safety education, community relations, and management.
