EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

EMS, Emergency Medical Services, is a huge part of what we do at South Metro Fire Rescue. In fact, the majority of our calls for service each day involve emergency medicine. That is why all of our firefighters are also required to be state-certified Emergency Medical Technicians- Basic and many of those are more highly trained EMT-P’s, or paramedics. That is why we operate seven rescue-ambulances.

If we transport you or a family member to a hospital, you will get a bill for that service. We believe you get great care from our EMT's and Paramedics but property taxes alone do not cover the cost of the service.
