South Metro's aircraft firefighting truck. Responding to car and plane crashes, kitchen fires and fire alarms, conducting plan reviews and emergency evacuation training, making visits to schools and giving tours of your fire stations -- these are just some of the services we offer to the approximately 200,000 people who live in, work in or visit our service area on a daily basis.

Pictured at left is our aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicle, housed near Centennial Airport. ARFF, Hazardous Materials, Dive Rescue, Wildland Firefighting and Technical Rescue are the specialized teams we maintain to meet the varied demands placed on the fire service today.
