STAYING SAFE

We take your safety seriously. Did you know that having working smoke detectors improves your chances of surviving a house fire by 50 percent? Not bad odds for an inexpensive investment. You might also be surprised to learn that many battery-operated smoke alarms which are already installed, don't work. That's because the batteries have died or been removed and people do not take the time to change them.

Fire safety education is just part of what public educators do at South Metro. They instruct parents on the proper use of child restraints (car seats), assist businesses with fire warden classes and fire extinguisher training, and teach first aid and CPR. If you need safety information you can't find here, please contact our public educators by email or at 720.488.7200. And please test your smoke alarms, regularly.
