The Community Relations department exists to serve the community through providing information through newsletters, this Web site, public meetings, video production, the media and various other means.  If you can’t find information on the Web site, please contact us by email or phone 720-989-2000.

Community Events
The South Metro Fire Rescue Authority will try to accommodate and/or participate in all district community/special events whenever possible without depleting vital and necessary resources to the district. Our priority is to provide uninterrupted and continual service to our citizens who live in the district and to those people who work and conduct business within our jurisdiction.

Please notify the Authority as soon as possible of your special event or at least two weeks in advance.  The Authority will give priority to events that include a life safety education opportunity.  Please click here to email events.  Please be aware that certain events may require fees and/or a medical plan.

Community Rooms
As a service to the community, community rooms at several of our fire stations are available for use to non-profit organizations located within our district.  Please click the link on the left for more information.

To keep with the fire department’s mission, the authority cannot use apparatus to fill swimming pools or dunk tanks.  Also, while station tours can be part of a birthday celebration, the fire station cannot host any of the festivities such as cake, ice cream or gifts.
