Parker-South Metro Fire Rescue Authority

South Metro Fire Rescue is part of the newly formed Parker-South Metro Fire Authority. Effective May 1 of 2008 we are consolidating with the Parker Fire Protection District (website). More information about the authority will be posted here soon.

The men and women of South Metro Fire Rescue serve the people and properties within 76 square miles of Arapahoe and Douglas counties in Colorado. We provide fire and emergency medical services to the cities of Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village and Lone Tree, as well as portions of the city of Centennial, all in the Denver-metro area. Communties we serve in Douglas County include Castle Pines Village, Castle Pines North, Surrey Ridge, Beverly Hills, McArthur Ranch, Daniels Gate, Happy Canyon and Louviers. We also serve most of the Denver Tech Center and Inverness, Centennial Airport and the Park Meadows area. The department was formed in 1951 as the Castlewood Volunteer Fire Department. Over the years we have grown to include the former Cherry Hills and Louviers Fire Protection Districts.

Our ten stations are equipped with some of the most modern firefighting equipment in the state and include seven rescue ambulances plus equipment for our special teams: dive rescue, technical rescue, aircraft rescue and firefighting and hazardous materials. For more information, take a look at our 2006 annual report (pdf file).

Our Life Safety Bureau provides plan review and code enforcement for new and existing commercial buildings, as well as public education to school children and businesses.
