South Metro Fire Rescue Authority

The South Metro Fire Rescue Authority was formed May 1, 2008 by intergovernmental agreement between South Metro Fire Rescue and the Parker Fire Protection District. It is the intent of that agreement to operate as a fire authority while working towards a full legal merger of the two fire districts. This agreement was reached after the two agencies completed a feasibility study on a possible merger.
